We’re a fun-loving bunch who don’t take ourselves too seriously unless it’s about helping you improve your time in the water and get the most out of your surfing experience.

Ed Yates (Founder/Writer)
Ed created Honest Surf after a nasty wipeout caused a knee injury that kept him out of the water for nearly a year.
Unable to get his surfing fix from the waves he turned his talents to writing and sharing everything he’s learnt over 20+ years of surfing.
Recent physio and rehab mean he can start dipping his toes in the waves again but that won’t stop him from carrying on the great work that started here at Honest Surf.
